About Kate

My enthusiasm for organizing comes out of my desire to share my passion for personal organizing, home design and creating spaces that feel restorative and nurturing.  In the process of decluttering and organizing, I often hear clients report a renewed sense of pleasure in residing in their homes. They share that they feel a greater sense of relaxation having their environment restored to a more optimally functional space that is serene, appealing and functional.

My organizing work is a complement to the work I do as a creativity coach and teacher. I have consistently observed that halfway through our creativity classes it is very typical that our students begin to declutter and organize their spaces. Students report that they see a connection between decluttering and making room for new opportunities and passions.  As clients organize their spaces, they often discover what things are important to them and what things aren't. It's a privilege to assist my organizing clients as they unpack those insights.

In addition to my organizing work, my background includes having worked as a mental health counselor, a marketing professional, and as noted above, a creativity instructor.  My clients report that they appreciate my ability to listen well, my observation skills, my inquiring but gentle questions and my supportive and encouraging demeanor.

I offer individual organizing services and also organizing classes for those who would like support as they embark on their organizing goals.

At Kate's Restorations & Organizing, I am focused on providing  exceptional organizing services with the highest levels of customer satisfaction – I will do everything I can to meet your expectations.

Look around my website and if you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to working with you!

Why work with Kate?

"Although Kate and I work together on organizing my home for just two hours per week, I never cease to be amazed by how much we accomplish! Whether it be organizing a drawer, closet, or cupboard; rearranging furniture; or transforming the purpose of a whole room, my time with Kate is always a joy for me, full of laughter and poignant moments alike. I love her gentle approach: thoughtful questions about my goals which always allow me the discovery of some possibility I'd never considered (as opposed to her dictating or directing); simple suggestions of a tiny baby step I might take (which always leads to me feeling inspired to take even more steps); and never, ever, any pressure. The paradox in working with Kate is that her loving acceptance of failure means that failure is impossible."
